Christmas and A Touch of Red

Hello Guys, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Its funny how time flies as the year is rounding off by the second. I love the fact that Christmas this year happened to be on a Sunday, as it was the perfect day to rest, and be with family and friends.

I figured i haven't shared a style post in a while, so when my pictures of The Blogger Point Christmas Brunch came through, i just had to share them. You can read about the event here..

There was no specific dress code to the brunch, but since it was the Christmas aura, i had to pitch in a little bit of the Christmas colour; Red.

When it comes to being formal for social events, especially one that is laid back, i always love to keep it simple and more conservative. Other than my regular go-to street style and denim, i love to keep my formals in hues of blue, and grey, which explains my outfit better. I'm always out for simplicity when dressing formal,or semi-formal as the case may be. Nothing speaks of confidence than a simple, well-put together style and a great overall look.

In keeping my definition of simple yet stylish, i had a crisp white cotton dress shirt by Charles Tyrwhitt, navy blue cotton pants, and a grey waistcoat by Kenneth Cole. Speaking of waistcoats, i love waistcoats. I love the fact that a waistcoat is that one item that can instantly switch a simple outfit to something stylish. To add a little bit of colour, i went for a red, slim, neck tie by one of my favorite tie brands, Thomas Pink.

My basic advice to keeping your outfits simple and stylish is to first work with bold colours, as it gives you this air of confidence, and also have the right fit.

Thanks for reading and i would love to get your opinion about my style. Do tell me what you like in the comments below.

Have a great holiday and a prosperous new year in advance.
