I initially thought i should go ahead without making an update on my life, and why I’ve been off the blogosphere for a long while. On a second thought, that would be so unfair to everyone who’s been checking on me and my blog while i was away… (which I’m extremely grateful for).
Now, the question is: Kene, where have you been.?
If you can recall here when i successfully escaped Pharmacy School, the next line of action would be the compulsory one-year internship program, and it was one helluva search. I feel like there should be more government and private organizations that should cater to the training of Pharmacy interns, and with good remuneration too (that’s story for some other day).
I eventually kicked off my training program at a Community Pharmacy in Lagos, after all my applications and search for NAFDAC and other organizations with a flexible schedule was just futile and frustrating.
For as many who are aware of how community pharmacies work, you’d understand that a greater percentage of my time was spent (wait for it…) AT WORK.!. In all honesty, I love the community pharmacy practice, but the work schedule was just crazy, and being an intern doesn’t make it any less difficult. I recall days I’d look at how I was always at work, and every free time I had was just to rest in preparation of more work.
Boy, was i so glad when i finished my internship last month….
It was one hectic year of the good, the bad, the ups and downs; but the beauty of all these experiences is that it shapes your perspective about life, work, people, and the choices I make.
Of course, because of all that work, it affected my blog and everything else; but i used the time-off blogging to learn so much more about blogging and branding (many thanks to The Bloggers’ Advocate).
Despite all that’s waiting ahead of me (Licensing exams, NYSC, etc.), I’m glad that I’m done and dusted with this level of life, and I look forward to more experiences and achievements.
Thank you all for sticking around during my time-off, I’ve got a lot of creative stuff in store, and I can’t wait to share them all with you .
Just don’t give up on your boy yet…
Thanks for reading, and i do hope you stick around for more
